Is it just me, or does anyone feel like a new Glow Recipe product drops you automatically feel hungry? I don’t know what it is, but when I see a Glow Recipe product, I want to eat an insane amount of fruits and drink the most adequate water the grocery store offers!

It sounds like a page from a fairy tale book, I know, but I can’t help it, and honestly, I don’t want that feeling to change!
I’ve always been interested in Glow Recipe; who wouldn’t be attracted to the cute packaging filled with clean beauty that smells so good you can eat it?
It was shocked to find out; I wasn’t the last person on earth to finally budge and indulge in the yumminess Glow Recipe has to offer.
I snagged up some of the best sellers and new products from Glow Recipe, and girl, this is some good stuff! Come sit down, get cozy, and let’s chat Glow Recipe!
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask

As I mentioned before, I was shocked to find out I wasn’t the last person to try the face famous Watermelon Sleeping Mask!
The Watermelon mask is the OG product for Glow Recipe. When this product was first launched, it was always sold out, and I daydreamed about getting my hands on it!
Luckily for me, it only took me three years, but I finally did it, and woah what a difference from the What A Mellon Overnight mask from Bliss!
I was expecting this mask to blow me away entirely based on all of the product’s hype.
When it comes to the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask, there are two ways you can approach this product.
- A Peeling Sleeping Mask
- Wash Off Mask
How To Use Glow Recipe Watermelon As A Peeling Sleeping Mask
I found that a little goes a long way with this mask; you don’t need that much. To get the best results, don’t forget to mix the mask well using the included spatula.
I forgot to do this when I first used this, and I didn’t get the best impression after my first use! Since this formula is made of more natural ingredients, separation is going to happen.
The Sleeping mask is the final step in your evening routine; I applied to bare skin right before bed. With this mask, you want to pat the mixture into your skin until you feel that it has been absorbed.
How To Use As A Wash Off Mask
When using the Watermelon Glow Mask as a wash-off mask, I felt terrible. I felt like I was wasting the mask, unsure why I felt that way, but I did.
I found the wash off mask was perfect on those days my skin needed a jumpstart to the day, and I didn’t have all the time to pamper my skin.
The results were visible, and it surely did brighten my complexion. However, I probably will stick to using this as a Sleeping mask to get the most from my mask!
What Makes Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask Good For Your Skin?
The star of the Watermelon mask is the Watermelon, of course! Watermelon helps to hydrate the skin and soothe irritation. Watermelon is also full of antioxidants and vitamins C and A, which helps reduce free radicals that can slow down the signs of aging. Products his in Vitamin A can encourage collagen and elastin cells that help your skin stay young glowing!
Side note- for the pumpkin lovers out there, there is Pumpkin extract in the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask! I love pumpkin everything, so when I saw there was pumpkin in there, I was so excited I was trying to smell for it.
What Is Pumpkin Extract Good For?
Pumpkin extract is a fabulous addition if you ask me. Since pumpkin is rich in antioxidants, this is perfect for repairing skin and defending it against damage-causing free radicals.
I can’t forget to mention that pumpkin extract also reduces inflammation in the skin and promotes collagen production.
Not only is this mask packed with Watermelon and pumpkin extract, but this Glow Recipe treat is also packed with AHAs and Hyaluronic Acid!
What is Hyaluronic Acid and Why You Should Start Using It
If you haven’t started using products with Hyaluronic Acid, you’re missing out! Did you know that Hyaluronic Acid hydrates the skin by holding up to 1,000 times its moisture weight?
What does that mean?
Hyaluronic acid is a perfect way to hydrate your face to help prevent fine lines and wrinkles and keeping your skin plump! When your skin is hydrated and happy, your skin can begin to focus on increasing skin cell production.
Now let us chat about AHA’s and What They Do For Your Skin.
AHAs or Alpha Hydroxy Acid is an acid made from sugary fruits and exfoliates the skin’s surface. The cool thing I love about AHAs is that my skin is immediately soft to the touch after every use.
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner

I was super impressed with this toner; I didn’t know what to expect with this toner. Initially, when looking at all of the advertising, you would think that this toner is sticky.
On top of that, there wasn’t much urgency for me to try toner mainly because I hate how toners make my skin feel afterward. But this year, toners have been all about making their return! (Return of the Mac)
First Impression Of the Watermelon GLow PHA+BHA Pore Tight Toner
Linke the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask, the toner has the same scent, which I loved. Guess what!!! The texture is like the sleeping mask (in my opinion), which is excellent because it sunk into my skin and wasn’t sticky as I thought it would be.
The packaging is fantastic, I love how sturdy it is (glass), but if I had my way, a pump would’ve made the toner a little easier to use. With a simple twist of the cap, you can pour the toner straight to your hands and apply it to your face.
How Did The Glow Recipe Toner Hold Up For The Day?
Again, I didn’t have as high of hopes as I did for the toner as I did the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask. I was expecting to see a ton of oil peek though no later than ten, possibly 11, right before lunch.
Lunch came, and I still hadn’t noticed anything; it wasn’t until four that I noticed my skin showed a little shine!
Hell yeah, another toner to add to my favorite list (that makes three now)
What Makes The Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner Amazing?

Ingredients can either play nice together in the bottle or battle each other; we never know until we apply to the skin and get them a test drive! Here are the ingredients of the Watermelon Pore Tight Toner:
- Watermelon
- Cactus
- PHA
- BHA
- Hyaluronic Acid
- Tea Tea Extract
- Cucumber
With the Pore tight Toner, you’re getting some excellent ingredients for the skin to calm, hydrate, and soothe your skin!
We broke down why Watermelon is good for the skin; let’s jump into the other ingredients in this toner.
Cactus is packed with electrolytes and amino acids that hydrate your skin and help retain moisture. I found it pretty cool that cactus is the secret ingredient that gives the pore tight toner its bouncy, stretchy texture!
What Are PHA’s And What Are They Good For?
Polyhydroxy Acids are great to help resurface and smooth your skin. Also, PHAs are known for helping to remove the common buildup of dead skin cells. PHAs also have antioxidant benefits along with humectant properties to help hydrate the skin.
If you have sensitive skin, you’ll find comfort knowing that PHAs provide smoothing and retexturing with minimal irritation. I found this to be true when using this toner; my skin didn’t show any signs of stress (like it usually does when I use a toner).
How Does This Not Cause Irritation In The Skin?
Since PHAs have a larger molecule size, the toner sinks into the skin more gradually, giving your skin more time to adjust and react.
PHAs also have antioxidant benefits and humectant properties that help to hydrate the skin.
BHAs
Beta Hydroxy Acid is one of the most effective ingredients in reducing pores and blackheads’ appearance. BHAs work by penetrating your pore’s outer surface and decongesting your clogged pores.
With the Watermelon Pore Tight Toner, your skin will get the luxury of two different types of BHAs to help combat clogged pores.
Willow Bark- Gentle on the skin and helps to soothe the skin
Betaine Salicylate- Helps to resurface the skin and is known to promote collagen production.
Overall Thoughts On The Glow Recipe Watermelon Staples:
I thoroughly enjoy using these products, and if you’re new to Glow Recipe, the Watermelon Line (from what I have tried so far) live up to the hype surrounding them.
It wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t add that these two products do have a scent. Glow Recipe does create their products with a sensory, enjoyable experience in mind, so there is a small amount of fragrance.
If you’re still iffy on the fragrance portion of the mask (like I was a small but), Glow recipe shares that while the fragrance is present less than 0.5% (to be exact) of their formulations and free of acetone!
I would say the Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask is a definite try if I had to choose between the two ( mask & toner)
