Drunk Elephant’s E-Rase is a game changer, and we all should get our hands on it!
We all know having a clean face is key to having a clear complexion! However, washing our face effectively may not always happen, and we begin to get those annoying blackheads, whiteheads, pimples you name it, it will show over time.
I have always been thankful for makeup wipes in particular. Makeup wipes, at some point, were stocked up in my bathroom closet because that was a sure wash to remove all of the makeup from my face before I washed my face.
The only issue I had were the makeup wipes were harsh on my skin, especially around my eyes. No matter how gentle I was around the eye area, my eyes would always become irritated.
So I moved to use baby oil to remove my eye makeup. The baby oil was an improvement, but I would have the leftover greasy feeling, and it drove me insane!
Which brings me to my excitement to share my experiences with Drunk Elephants E-Race Maliki Micellar Water.
I know this is a relatively new product on the market; however, its capabilities are endless, and you can’t go wrong with its milky texture.
What Is Drunk Elephant’s E-Rase Milki Micellar Water?
E-Rase is micellar water but taken up a few notches And far more nourishing! E-Rase is perfect if you’re looking for a more gentle cleanse because of the combination of ingredients.
Made with Ceramide, plant oils, and vitamin E, E-Rase is a perfect option for removing makeup without irritation.
What Is In E-Rase?
We can expect to have a beautiful product from Drunk elephant. It is made without all the harsh skincare ingredients like essential oils, silicones, sulfates, and fragrance. E-Rase has some great ingredients for the skin; this is what you can expect from E-Rase ingredient-wise.
3 Ceramide Blend
Ceramides are derived from plant sources and mimic the moisture that occurs naturally in our skin. One thing to love about Ceramides is the ability to fill in the spaces between the skin cells, helping with elasticity.
Ceramides play a significant role in straightening our skin’s barrier and help protect against water loss.
Wild Melon Seed Oil
Wild Melon Seed Oil is perfect for soothing and moisturizing our skin. This oil is rich in omega 6 and 9 fatty acids and provides strength to our skin barrier.
Vitamin E
We all need some Vitamin E in our skincare routine! Vitamin E is easily absorbable and helps to preserve our skin’s natural lipid balance. With soothing capabilities, Vitamin E is perfect for helping to defend against environmental damage!
Marula Oil
If you use Drunk Elephant products, you will see Marula Oil often. Used for its ability to rejuvenate the skin, this oil is high in antioxidants and omegas to give our skin a natural glow.
Mongongo Oil
High in Vitamin E and fatty acids, this oil is soothing and highly moisturizing.
Baobab Seed Oil
Baobab is useful when it comes to moisturizing the skin and should be used in more skincare products! This oil has high amounts of omegas and fatty acids, which is why the skin is so soft after using E-Rase.
Passionfruit Oil
Passion fruit is fantastic, but this is the first time I had seen it in skincare! Passion Fruit oil is perfect for soothing and bringing moisture to our skin!
How To Use E-Rase
It’s a habit to apply certain products (like this one) with a cotton round. After years of doing this, I realized that using cotton rounds is still pretty irritating for my skin. I began using my hands more to apply and. I enjoy it much better.
The secret behind E-Rase is to let the product sink into your skin and not tug or pull on the skin.
I found when I have a full-on glam eye, I made the product sit for a while, and everything seems to melt off.
It’s advertised that you don’t need to wash off the Milki E-Rase, but I’m afraid I have to disagree.
I say this because if you’re removing your makeup with this, you’ll still want to wash your face to remove the rest of the makeup that is left sitting on your skin.
Now let’s say you’re not wearing makeup, and you want to use this as a mid-day refresher that is a different story. Many of us are working from home and need not wear makeup on a daily basis; this has been nice to use to give my face a refreshing feeling without having to stand at my bathroom sink.
E-Rase does sink into the skin nicely and leaves my face refreshed, but I do get a slight, slight tacky feeling on my skin.
Does The Drunk Elephant’s E-Rase Work?
When it comes to removing makeup, I have not had any experience like this one. E-Rase is not like your typical makeup remover or micellar water.
One cool thing to note is E-Rase was intended to be a cleansing wipe in the beginning! I’m so happy it’s in the form of a liquid because I can finally remove my makeup without the irritation from having to use a wipe.
But does it work you’re probably wondering?
The short answer is yes!
I use this to remove my black eyeliner without an issue, my eyebrow pomade glides smoothly off my face, and my lipstick melts off when I use E-Rase.
To take this beyond just removing makeup, my family and I use this after playing tennis, going for a hike, or just long days in the sun.
It’s a product I like to carry with me when I know I’m going to be sweating and need a friendly cleanup afterward.
Is Drunk Elephant’s E-rase Worth the Money?
Absolutely, because like I said, this is not your typical makeup remover or micellar water! When I first purchased E-Rase, there was only one size, and that was the 240ML for $28.00.
Now you can get a 100ML for $14.00. When you look at the price tag, it can be steep for micellar water, and you will have to decide if this is worth the money.
Overall Thoughts
Being able to use Drunk Elephant’s E-Rase throughout the day (if I needed) and not stip my skin moisture is a win for me, and I will tell you I don’t go anywhere without it!
If you have sensitive skin and makeup wipes do more damage than good than this can be the answer to your prayers!
I like that I have to option to use a cotton round if I wanted and that its gentle enough for my entire family to use.
If you’re a Drunk Elephant Lover and want to know about the Drunk Elephant Hair Care Line, you can read about it here!
I see E-Rrase more than what it’s marketed to do, which is a pleasant surprise. I will keep this in stock on my shelves and cant wait to see what Drunk Elephant releases next!
